Can students join MedTechScope?
Yes. Medical, healthcare and allied health students can join MedTechScope through our dedicated student sign-up route. This is separate from our professional sign-up process, as students may not yet hold professional registration.
Do I need professional registration to sign up?
No. Students do not need GMC, NMC, HCPC, GPhC or other professional registration to join through the student route. You may be asked to confirm your university, course or society affiliation instead.
Who is the student community for?
Our student community is open to medical students, nursing students, pharmacy students, physician associate students, allied health students and others studying healthcare-related subjects.
Is student membership free?
Yes. Student access is currently free.
What will I get access to?
Student members can access selected MedTechScope content, newsletters, educational updates and opportunities to get involved with our wider community.
Can I contribute to MedTechScope?
Yes. We welcome motivated students who want to help with editing, curating, writing summaries, supporting newsletters and developing student-focused content.
Do I need previous writing or editing experience?
No. Prior experience is helpful but not essential. We are more interested in students who are reliable, curious and keen to develop their skills.
Can my student society use MedTechScope?
Yes. Student societies can use MedTechScope to support newsletters, promote events, share opportunities and reach a wider healthcare audience. We can support societies that want to create or improve their newsletters by helping with structure, content ideas, distribution and editorial workflows.
