BOAST Guideline: Management of Hip Fractures in Adults

Key recommendation: Hip fracture surgery should be performed within 36 hours of admission for medically fit patients. Early orthogeriatric involvement reduces 30-day mortality and length of stay. All patients should receive VTE prophylaxis and a bone health assessment prior to discharge.
